Clubs & Groups Paradise Island offers many opportunities for the pleasure and enjoyment of their residents. Listed are most of the activities that are available. Due to the varying population of the park in the summer months, some activities are seasonal. There are Card groups to include Whist, Poker, Bridge, Pinochle, Euchre and various card games for both men and women. These games are held in the clubhouse at various times, both day time and evening Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, Bocce Ball Horseshoe group meets on Wednesday at 1:00 PM Shuffleboard group meets Wednesday at 1:00 PM Bocce Ball group meets on Fridays at 1:00 PM Darts, Billiards, Chess, Computer Club Dart league meets on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm Computer Club meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays Chess Club meets Wednesdays in clubhouse at 7:00 Groups that meet outside our community premises include Men’s Golf, Bowling, and Ladies Luncheons Men’s Golf meeting days are determined by availability of golf course in the area. These will be announced when play resumes in the fall. Bowling on Tuesdays is held at local bowling lanes Bowling on Thursdays are held at local bowling lanes We offer a Craft Club, Water Aerobics, Bunko, and Line Dancing instructions Craft Group meets on Wednesdays at 1:00 in clubhouse Water aerobics are held Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 8:45 am in our pool Bunko group meets at 6:30 pm in clubhouse Line dancing instruction is held on Saturdays mornings at 10:00 in the clubhouse A yearly Christmas Craft Fair and Flea Market are held A Men’s Club group is open to all male residents This group meets the first Tuesday of each month. They bring in entertainment for the entire community to enjoy as well as sponsoring many fun events during the year. A monthly breakfast is held as are monthly dances Breakfasts are offered the first Saturday of each month. Price is $3.00 and menus vary monthly. Dances are held on Saturday nights in the clubhouse. Also various state clubs gather for dinners on a monthly basis These dinners are held mostly outside the community to acquaint people from the same areas. Our Resident Social Committee offers celebrations for holidays Fourth of July, Christmas, are among the holiday celebrations offered |
